We Want Destiny 3

Privacy Policy

The short version

We Want Destiny 3 is a fan campaign site. You can read everything here without creating an account, and we never ask for your name, email, or any personal details. The only data flows worth knowing about are the web server’s standard logs and the advertising described below.

Who we are

This site is run by a Destiny player, not a company. It exists to rally support for the petition asking Sony and Bungie to make Destiny 3, and it is not affiliated with Bungie or Sony. Questions about this policy can go to jimhuntphoto@gmail.com.

What we collect

Nothing directly. There are no accounts, no comment forms, no newsletters, and nothing to buy. The signature counter on the homepage shows a number our own server fetches from Change.org; your browser never contacts Change.org just by viewing this site. If you click through to sign the petition, you are on Change.org and their privacy policy applies from there.

Like nearly every website, our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. They rotate away on a short schedule and we do not use them to identify anyone.

Advertising and Ezoic

This site uses Ezoic to serve advertising on some pages, which is what pays for the servers. Ezoic and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, measure how they perform, and, where you have consented, personalize them. In the EU, UK, and other regions with consent laws you will see a consent banner where you can accept or decline personalized ads, and you can change that choice at any time from the same banner.

Ezoic publishes its full partner list and detailed disclosures for this site at g.ezoic.net/privacy/wewantdestiny3.com. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising generally at aboutads.info/choices. Ezoic’s own generated disclosures, including the current cookie list, appear below.

Analytics

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site gets used: which pages people read, where they scroll, and where they get stuck, through heatmaps and anonymized session replays. Clarity sets cookies for this and processes the data on Microsoft’s servers under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. There are no forms on this site, so replays contain no typed personal information.

Cookies

We set no cookies of our own. Cookies you see come from the advertising and consent systems above and from Microsoft Clarity, plus one small browser value (sessionStorage) that keeps the site’s celebration confetti from replaying during the same visit. Clearing your browser’s cookies and site data removes all of it.

Fonts and outside links

Pages load the Saira typeface from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those font files from Google’s servers. Links to outside sites (Change.org, Bungie, community tools like light.gg) lead to services with their own privacy policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, laws like the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California give you rights to access or delete personal data. Because we hold no personal data about you beyond short-lived server logs, the practical place to exercise ad-related choices is the consent banner and the Ezoic disclosure page linked above. For anything else, email us.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with an updated date.
