About We Want Destiny 3 & Our Sources

We Want Destiny 3 is an independent fan site for Destiny players. It brings together Destiny 2 tools, sourced news and a community petition asking for a new chapter in the franchise.

What can you use here?

The player tools directory links to armor set bonuses, artifact mods, the Distortion tracker and a damage resistance calculator. The news page links to our reporting and the official announcements it covers. The petition page explains the community request and takes you to Change.org to sign.

Official game sources and community data

Game artwork and icons used in the Player Hub come from Bungie. That includes the Queensfoil Censer artifact, Techeun’s Regalia armor, the Concussive Dampener icon and the crimson-purple Distortion image. The image and icon source record lists the original URLs and relevant game identifiers.

The site itself and its tools are independent community work. The Distortion tracker uses a community-observed schedule. The damage resistance calculator uses community-tested values and stated assumptions. Official artwork does not make those calculations or predictions official Bungie data.

Where can you check the original information?

• The Next Chapter of Bungie is the source for our report on the commitment to restore vaulted Destiny 2 content.
• Monument of Triumph is Live describes the update and includes the official Distortion artwork used here.
• This Week in Destiny, June 18, 2026 is the source page for the Traveler artwork in the Player Hub.
• The Destiny 3 petition on Change.org contains the petition text and its current signature count.

How should you read the news and tool results?

Check the linked announcement for the original wording of a news claim. For builds and rotations, read the assumptions and source notes on the relevant tool page, then compare the result with the game. A community estimate, a player request and an official announcement describe different things.
